Kristin Cavallari in a white jacket and gray leggings prepares a healthy dinner

Kristin Cavallari is known for many things, including cooking delicious meals for her family, but the former reality star didn’t always know the kitchen. “I didn’t really start cooking until I had kids,” she shared Harper’s BAZAAR. “I recently wanted an episode Laguna beach where Jessica and I make the boys dinner and say the chicken Alfredo tasted like legs,” she laughed. The mother-of-three has come a long way since her teenage years and now has three cookbooks full of healthy recipes. Wearing a simple yet sexy white top and gray workout pants, the fashion designer posted a photo of herself making one of her epic dinners.“Home, leggings, no makeup, kids running around, red wine and cooking = happiness.” The 36-year-old maintains a clean diet, and we take a closer look at what she eats to stay slim and healthy.

Cavallari starts his day by checking his phone, drinking water, making coffee and then juice. “I like to let my body be hungry before I eat a huge breakfast, otherwise I feel kind of lazy all day,” she shared. “I make apple, lemon, cilantro, celery, cucumber.” He added: “Sometimes I throw in ginger, which I love.”

In an interview with Harper’s BAZAAR magazine, Cavallari admits that breakfast is the only time she prepares different meals for her children. “I have these gluten-free crepes Really simple which I make a couple of times a week.” She continues, “Inside them, I’ll either make a healthier Nutella, a chocolate hazelnut spread, and a banana.” Another thing she makes for breakfast is an egg bowl with “scrambled eggs or a fried egg.” She adds “a little arugula or spinach fried, goat cheese, avocado and maybe cherry tomatoes.”

After breakfast, Cavallari leaves his children at school, works out, goes to the sauna for half an hour and then eats an early lunch. “Depending on how much time I have or what’s going on in the day, I’ll have leftovers or take extra protein and put it on top of a salad.” She adds, “I love homemade dressing. They take two minutes to make and are worth it. Even something as simple as olive oil, Dijon, a little honey and salt and pepper.”

In an interview with EatingWell, Cavallari said that if he had to eat only one vegetable for the rest of his life, it would be cauliflower. “I love cauliflower because I think it’s very versatile, and there’s actually a recipe for cauliflower in Sweet Har. Really simple it’s my absolute favorite cauliflower recipe on the planet,” she said. “If you’ve ever been to True Food Kitchen, their cauliflower was the inspiration behind it. It has this sweet harissa sauce and it has some chopped dates, so it has a nice balance between sweet and salty. It’s definitely the best.”

Since the founder of Uncommon James eats lunch early, he has a snack in the afternoon. “I’ll do anything from beef sticks, hummus and carrots,” she told Harper’s BAZAAR magazine. He also stated that he loves Papa Steve’s cherry dark chocolate bars.

The dish that Cavallari raves about is “fried Brussels sprouts in avocado oil.” He said: “It’s that simple. Sprinkle them with a bit of sea salt. They taste amazing and people will think you put all this time and energy into it.” In fact, they take like 15 minutes,” he added.

Cavallari admitted that he has quite a sweet tooth and needs to eat something every night, “even if it’s just a piece of chocolate.” He also enjoys ice cream, banana pudding with homemade vanilla wafers, and oatmeal pie.

Although Cavallari follows a healthy and balanced diet, he does not give up anything. “Eating well to me means enjoying food and enjoying ‘food freedom’ where you can enjoy what you eat without beating yourself up,” she told EatingWell. “You can eat anything in moderation.”
