Matthew Perrythe main doctor is a specialist Ketamine treatment, and his patients have nothing but rave reviews.
His autopsy report listed his cause of death Acute effects of ketamine. Perry was taking ketamine when he died however, due to anxiety and depression, her last medically supervised treatment was more than a week before her death.
Dr. Andre Atoian, whose name appears to have been partially redacted in the report obtained by The Blast, was listed as Perry’s current primary care physician.”
The unidentified woman told investigators that Matthew Perry recently met with two doctors. His first doctor treated him with ketamine treatments every other day, but his new doctor (for the last 6 months) stated that since Perry was in a good mood and his depression was fine, he did not need more treatments. However, the autopsy report also states that Perry’s last treatment was a week and a half ago.
At the time of his death, it is unclear whether Dr. Atoia was the medical professional who oversaw Perry’s final ketamine treatment, but the autopsy report names him as Perry’s current physician.
Ketamine Therapy Patients Speak Out
Dr. Andre Atoian is the founder and medical director of Ketamine Specialists (now Limbic Medical) and is specifically trained in the use of ketamine infusions for depression and pain. His reception is currently located in North Hollywood, California, which is about 28 miles from Pacific Palisades, where Matthew Perry lived.
Perry’s autopsy report revealed that the actress was using ketamine for anxiety and depression. He also discussed his experiences with ketamine in his 2022 memoir.
Dr. Atoian’s patients have nothing but great things to say about ketamine therapy, and one of Dr. Atoian’s patients claimed that the specialist “takes his work seriously and believes deeply in what he offers his patients.” They then talked about their journey and stated that “after 6 infusions I feel much better improved my depression symptoms by 80%. I can’t say enough about how much better I feel.”
Another of his patients stated that they were having a “really hard time with my depression that wouldn’t go away even with medication,” so they found Dr. Atoian. They did the infusions and “Now I’m microdosing and I’m fine! My anxiety is much better and my depression is almost gone.”
Ketamine infusions can reset and grow brain cells
Ketamine infusion treatments are quickly being recognized as one of the most important advances in modern depression treatment, according to Dr. Andre Atoian, who was cited as Perry’s primary care physician in the autopsy report. Standard treatment for mood-related neurotransmitters has not been shown to be effective for a large number of people who use them. Yet countless people continue to use these drugs simply because there is no better alternative.
“While new studies are underway to understand the true extent of ketamine’s effects, current evidence suggests that ketamine has the ability to restore and grow our brain cells, allowing patients to take back control of their lives,” he said of the treatment.
One of his patients also left a 5-star review stating that “if you are looking for highly personalized care from a very supportive team, [Limbic Medical] there is a place.”
They added that “Dr. Atoians’ priority is your total well-being, which means there is no set menu, but rather a treatment that is right for you, adjusted along the way. I am a very educated lay person when it comes to medical and mental health (in other cases. I said, geek) and therefore very picky. Trust is critical in health and mental care and I have complete confidence in the team here.”
